Democracy means that all the sovereign powers of the state are legally available to the entire society. Democracy originated in India even before the birth of Siddhartha (Buddha). The basis of democracy is the submission and obedience of the majority, on which the authority of the system of democracy stands. In the case of popular sovereignty, representatives elected by the people have the power to make laws. On the contrary, in the Islamic system, the authority to legislate is vested only with Allah Almighty. He is the ruler of the entire universe and has power over everything. In the Islamic system of government, the Caliph of the Muslims is appointed by Allah. In the Islamic government, only the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet (PBUH) are the law. In any matter the law is explained by people who have deep knowledge of Quran and Hadith. They also give such an interpretation that they do while living in the realm of the Holy Quran and Hadith. Then the Caliph enforces it. Unlike the Islamic government, today's democratic system has no restrictions. Who are the legislators? How much knowledge does this group have of Quran and Hadith? How are their characters and biographies? On what principles and bases do they legislate? It has no limitations. The only rule is that the law has been passed by a majority of representatives elected by the people. The basic thing in a democratic system is that the relationship between government and religion is abolished. There is a lot of difference between a democratic government and an Islamic government. In this article, the reality of democracy and the Islamic system of government have been explained in the light of Quran and Hadith.
