The Shariah Status of Begging and Its Challenges in the Modern Era

Abstract

Allah Almighty created man with the best character and habits. His nature includes modesty, self-respect, pride, self-protection, wealth protection, and honor protection. But when a man chokes these qualities of honor and distinction with his own hands, he falls into such a lowness of humiliation and contempt that the one who makes his path continues to fall into the pits of degradation. One of these habits is the habit of spreading his hands in front of others. Islam is a follower of good habits, which bring about the habits of self-restraint and prevents them in every way. One of the reasons for preventing sin in Islam is that this sin makes a person humiliated and despicable. Allah Almighty has created means of livelihood for man. It is man's own business to earn his livelihood through deliberation, hard work, and effort.
